Nice to find heat tape in this short length
Nice to find heat tape in this short length. I used it around a watering can for my chickens. So far, the water has stayed liquid down to 19 degrees Fahrenheit. The water does not heat up, either. It remains thawed and very cool.

We are using this in our well house. It is an easy way to keep our water running.

Great water/water pipe saver.
Kept my water from freezing at -25F. It froze last year around 0F without the tape. Haven't even noticed a change in the Electric Bill.... Money well spent.

Works well
I have a couple of outdoor faucets that I use these for in the winter. Had a brutal winter and no problems. Well priced, good buy.

Worth the purchase
After having this installed on our motorhome, and after several nights of below freezing weather, this has kept our waterline warm enough to not freeze. It is well worth the purchase.

Hooked up
Its all hooked up. Won't know if it actually works until freeze. I did wrap my hose with insulation on top of this like. Seems good quality. the plug lights up when plugged in.

Test before you install, but they work well to keep the pipes from freezing.
I use these in my barn. They keep the exposed pipes from freezing. I did have one section last year that failed and the pipe broke, but the other sections all worked well. You can test them before installing by laying a plastic ziploc bag of ice on the thermostat. I use them taped onto pvc with electrical tape, with pipe insulation on top.
