Can’t beat the price. It’s not a guillotine but it works. Arrived clean and no rust unlike my ball vise.

Promising but not tested

Thought I'd throw out a review, though tool was not tested by fire. This guillotine metal shear will cut paper and cardboard with scissor-like precision. I think I read it is capable of 1/4" steel but you might have to fill your pockets with rocks to have force to pull handle that hard. I'm not attempting anything so ambitious. I need it to cut small rectangles of thin but rigid sheet metal to make hidden hold down clips to install vertical shadow rib siding. Expect shear to do this without complaint. Will need to mount to stable surface that will resist a fair amount of torque to keep from doing a back flip.

We bought this unit for cutting small diameter flat bars and rounds. As long as we keep the material to .125" or less if gives us a pretty good edge we can work with. I wish the handle was sturdier as that looks like the piece we will end up modifying.

Stiff to use—anchor it down to heavy furniture/bench.

Poor design

This tool is heavy duty, looks like it could cut thick steel! But don’t let looks fool you, this shear is a poor design it will not even cut 1/4 rd stock and barely cut thin metal, o it will cut paper though ! To bad I have a a real nice door stop!

Quality is good but when the return spring breaks there is no replacement parts for it. no one has that spring that fits this cutter. They told me Amazon, but the arms are too short. I have tried everywhere. I can have one made @ $60.00ea and a min. 6Pcs.
