I have been looking for a backup power system for my basement sump pump. During occasional power outages with heavy rain some water gets into my basement because the sump pump is not running. This is the fourth inverter system I have purchased in my search. The previous three were all from different sellers (not VEVOR). They were all rated as powerful enough to run my 1/3 hp. pump, yet none of them did. The last one had a rating of 100,000 watts - mind you that is like running 100 toasters! But all they did was make the pump motor just hum and not start. Needless to say I returned them all. I consider this dishonest labeling and rating. So when I ordered this VEVOR 2500W system I was apprehensive, but after hooking everything up I am very satisfied. The system runs as described. I ran my pump in the bypass mode (AC on) as well as in the battery mode (no AC). I put the pump through 40 start-ups and runs in battery mode and no problems. I hope that it will last a long time :)

My previous system had a 120 volt main sump pump, and a 12 volt back-up pump in case of a power outage. With this inverter system the same pump is used, and powered by the inverter boosting 12 volts to 120 during an outage. It also keeps the battery charged and automatically switches over when necessary ( in 10 ms! ). There is an LCD screen that displays the system parameters, and an alarm sounds if a problem is detected. With regular maintenance, I feel I am well protected from the nightmare that is a flooded basement. A shout out to the vendor - After I received the 2000w unit I decided that I should also include the freezer in the loop, and the 2500w unit would be better suited. I ordered the 2500w, and they took the 2000w back - no questions asked.

Unit works great. It's keeping two 110AH deep cycle batteries charged up. Have both my primary and backup pumps powered by it. It can run them both if needed. It recently handled a big rainstorm with a ton of water coming into this sump.

Bought two of these and 2 batteries as well. Installed and tested them this weekend and they work perfectly. I no longer have to worry about my basement sump pumps not working in a power outage/storm. Such a relief to know I won't ever have to hand bail sump pumps in the dark in the middle of the night.

I purchased it to replace a different style sump back-up that included a 12V back-up pump. I chose the inverter and 12V back-up battery as in my opinion it is a simpler and clearer arrangement, eliminating the need for a secondary pump. My needs for a back-up pump due to a power outage are few and far between, however having it provides peace of mind. The set-up was simple and easy to install, I'm very happy with the overall arrangement I ended up with.  Everything assembled as described and worked as expected. Only time will prove the reliability and longevity of this product, my initial observations it appears that the equipment is well made. My hope is that it is never needed but it's nice to know I have it if needed.

Actually worked as it was supposed to with the sump system when  the power went out a few weeks age. Thumbs up so far!

Using to power a sump pump. Works without any issues. The fan can be a little loud when it is charging the battery but since it's in the basement, who cares.

Easy to install, less than 15 minutes. Now I have peace of mind knowing I have backup for my sump pump. Well built unit. Not sure about longevity but I am hopeful.
