Works great and does the job.

Great product! Highly recommend. I had it in use 5 minutes out of the box!... I do suggest buying the extra 1.5mm and 2.0mm tips separately for use for other work though.

I use this to build custom keyboards, I originally used a solder sucker for a whole 2 seconds then immediately order this and man does it make life a lot easier. If you have a lot to desolder as I do with switches on a keyboard this is the right tool and cheaper than some.

This thing sucks! It's meant to! I had to replace a memory chip on my Atari 130XE. I've never used a tool like this before, but it worked well, and didn't harm the pads at all. I set it to 350C, and it melted the solder each time, and sucked it all up. I had to use very minimal force to pull the chip out after it cooled down. Well worth the price for home & professional repair!

So far it's doing good, although I wished it would have been package with other tip sizes.I ended up ordering other size tips

Good value, but keep in mind that you'd need to buy better tips for $10-$20 right away.

Overall this desoldering tool does a pretty good job and I like the sturdy docking station. My issues are with the SINGLE tip it comes with. It's opening is too small for even slightly larger leads or pins and if you manage to get the tip over the pin, there's not enough clearance to suck up the solder. I don't want to drill out the tip as it would decrease the thermal mass and may affect the tip cladding. The other issue (less important)is that it requires frequent cleaning as the solder seems to collect in the tube leading to the chamber.

Works well could use different size tips. Needs to be cleaned and solder removed depending on how many spots are de-soldered to keep the vacuum performance. Comes with cleaning rod and extra filter pads. I would suggest a thermostatic hot air soldering heater to remove multi legged chips after de-soldering and have a copper wick handy as well.

Brilliantly convenient and consistent use for desoldering a keyboard of its switches. When it comes to desoldering the tiny little LED pins, holy crap is it a pain though haha. Use a manual one for max finesse, but this is insanely handy otherwise. The stand it came with was a great addition to my kit so I can safely stow the hot soldering pen when I need to free my hands as well, plenty of room.
