Didn't work so well at first, but after enlarging the hole with a small drill bit it works like a dream! Even large chokes and inductors come out now! I should warn though that I am unable to find replacement tips for this thing, even the Hakko this is based on seems to use different tips.

This is not a robust desoldering tool. It's adequate for the hobbyist. If you need something to clean up a solder joint or replace a component while working on a project this is a good tool. If you are looking at a bin filled with 80 boards that need several components removed, you need to buy a dedicated unit with a separate pump. For my needs it's perfect and you can buy 3 of these for the price of the similar name brand one.

Nice price for a desoldering device. Should have got this years ago. Stand + accessories great.When you very first turn it on, make sure you have your extraction system going, as the tip will smoke for a short while. Every time thereafter its ok. Recommended.

Omg do not hesitate buying this product! Makes easy work out of taking transistors out of amps
