Product arrived in great condition. I immediately did the modifications that are suggested/required (the mods are all over the internet).1) Remove the masking tape and replace with Kapton tape.2) Ensure the ground wire is properly grounded to chassis (need to remove chassis paint to ensure a good connection).3) Updated the firmware with the custom open source firmware by unified engineering.4) Haven't done this yet but will soon...add the cold junction temperature compensation modification.I was willing to pay a good sum of money for a decent reflow oven but the problem is that you either see these inexpensive (relatively speaking) Chinese models or American models at 10 times the cost (which is more than I want to pay). Additionally you see lots of custom hacks with toaster ovens. After much research I chose this path and I'm glad I did. I went with the T962A model vs the T962 as the T962 is only 800 W but the T962A is 1500 W and I wanted the extra power in case I really load up the reflow oven with a lot of boards. The 3 hacks above took me a Saturday to knock out. Also, this version of the T962A has the rear fan shroud which really makes it easy to hook up a vent tube to exhaust the fumes outside and will definitely be useful if you are running lots of boards through it.
