Nicely made but with inadequate instructions

Out of the box, followed the instructions and it worked!

Would be nice if you could move the handle for Z axis

I installed the z axis drive on my First brand Mill... it fit well after shimming the gear ( shims included)... my only complaint is the limit switch is more suited as an x axis limit... there was no brackets or instructions on installing the switch on the side of my mill column.

Like many have said, the brass gear needed to be modified to fit on my Bridgeport. It was too long to get the lock nut back on. Other than that, works as it should and can get pretty slow if needed.

Bought this for my Lagun FTV-2 mill and the threaded adapter didnt fit properly. Tried it on my bridgeport and it installed quite easily. It seems a little slow compared to some power feeds I've used but this will save lots of time cranking the table up and down.

Cord was a little too short, and the verier adjusting lock nut is made of plastic. I have to use an extension cord because the cord is about 30cm too short. I don't thing the lock nut will last very long.

Pretty nice unit for the money. Looks pretty well built. I had to machine a few of the pieces to get the fit i wanted and to keep chips out. But otherwise very happy. It will slow down to just about moving. I wasn't expecting that after some other reviews. They may have made some improvements.

As most have said, some fitting is required. For me, the key way for the lead screw woodruff key was too narrow and too short. I used a hand file to open it up. Did a little bit at a time. Everything else fit the way it should have. I have a Bridgeport J-head. It works well though. The instructions are terrible. That’s what had me drop it to 4 instead of 5 stars.

The unit fit everywhere except the adapter plate. They sent an adapter that fits the X axis which is much smaller. After several days of emails back and forth they decided to send a small refund to make me happy. I made the correct adapter and the unit works OK. The extension shaft is not made true-so when in operation the unit wobbles around. For the price paid I guess it is ok. If anybody needs a drawing of the correct adapter , I have the one I made in solidworks
