Impressed
We bought land in a remote Colorado area and the price to have electricity to the property was about $10,000. So, we are going off-grid. We purchased a 10 foot section of steel pipe and a flange to attach the turbine to the pipe and attached it to our RV batteries which are connected in series. We did not know a blizzard was on the way that day. The wind speed was at least 50 mph sustained with gusts much higher (slammed me against the RV). This thing worked great. It made it through the storm and is still working. I plan to but more. It was not overly noisy until the wind speed kicked up, I am impressed.

Wonderful money saver! Try it, you'll like it!
I wanted to do a video so you could see how easily it picks up speed with the wind This is finally up and running. I'm 70 years old and needed help. My son put it up by himself in a short time so it must be fairly easy to do. I just got new batteries for my solar panels and added the wind generator. I've been running all lights and a signal booster off those batteries and haven't had to put on the regular charger for 2 weeks. Do you have any idea how much gas I've saved by not having to start the generator? I can hear it slightly here outside but can't hear it at all inside. I'm very pleased with this purchase. Recommend highly especially as an experiment. I'm sold (and I live off grid and solar has bad days. This only has bad minutes as the wind is more accountable than sunshine.) The hardest part was deciding where and how to get it up in the air.

Still going strong
Do buy, woth the money, this is 2021 update and bought it in 2019, only has a little rattling sound when spinning slow; might be the front cover getting loose but it's still going strong without ever servicingP.s. product description said no service needed

Works good and looks good.
The fit and finish is good. Some of the fins have the ends with a little bit of uneven color but you can't tell when they are on the generator. I was impressed with the orings and the sealed bearing. I have no concerns about rain affecting the life of this unit. The overall appearance of it is very good even my wife is impressed with how good it looks. It makes good power in high wind like above 15mph and it does make some power with 8 to 10mph wind. It will not start with wind below 8mph but if it starts turning it will keep going with less than 8mph wind a little. When I get a meter to measure the amps I'll update this review. I am powering an electric fence controller with this and it is working good so far. I will need to use a solar panel for summer months when there is no wind for days. I will be buying more.

Decent quality
Unit came packaged well and intact. Mostly plastic, but fairly nice appearance. Does generate, but takes quite a lot of wind to get moving. Advise careful review of your location, should be blow your hat off condition if you expect it to pay for itself.

fanstastic wind generator (0.5KW)
i think this is an attractive wind generator. It comes with everything you need to harness wind power. I like to see the green light come on to denote power being produced and recharging my battery banks. To upgrade the original wind controller, I went on Amazon and found a nice MPPT wind generator. with a big "dump load." With the upgraded wind (hybrid) controller MPPT/60A, the clear display unit showed battery DCV, amps -watts generated by the PV and/or Wind Generator; and adjust parameter if needed. It was easy to assemble the wind generator (tools provided). To install /erect it was little more challenging. What ever you attached it to or erect it on to, make sure it's STURDY (braced). According to my Amazon bought anemometer, the max wind speed was 30 mph. Thank you Amazon for all your ongoing great products and cost saving. Go Green!

great for the $
nicely done does well for the $ (and better then some for the same $) but just like everyone else wind gens, it is over rated for watt out put, I was hoping for 5 amps @ 12 mph wind and that's what I get so not bad for the $It weighs around 45 lbs so it has some copper in it. if they dont weigh as much as this one dont wast your $ because they wont put out anything (amps) to speak of.

Change the rectifier it will make it work
This thing works but to make it work you must get a different rectifier they sell them on Amazon for $12 it's a hundred amp 1200 volt three phase rectifier. If use what comes with it you geto too much drag on the windmill and then once you combine that with your batteries and your load it simply won't turn without a good wind but if you change the rectifier this sucker will spend like crazy and it will top out at about 19 20 volts

No issues. Works as advertised.
No issues with the unit. All parts arrived without issue. The included controller works properly as well. I did as one of the other customers did and adapted it to an 1 1/4 galvanized pipe with a floor flange. Just had to drill out the holes. I think people expect that the generator is going to turn as freely as it does without any electrical load, when its under load. The more electrical load on the generator the more force is required to turn the generator.
