Not a Kurt vise. Made alot cheaper, but you can buy 5 of these for the price of a Kurt vise. Depends on what you need them for. They are alot lighter . Good for certain quick jobs.

My only ding against this vise is actually the hardware they include to mount it. My t-bolts needed some grinding of burrs and dented corners before they'd fit the t-slots on my mini-mill. Vevor seems to do pretty good sourcing the better factories and models for their offerings.

Plan on taking an hour going over every small detail of this with a small stone to remove the sharp edges. I would recommend taking the entire thing apart so there is never any issue in the future. Other than that, it works pretty well. It's definitely not a kurt vice but for the money, it works pretty well.

This thing is Effing huge, Not sure how big your mill is. I think the vise weighs as much as the mill. But by the time I hire a crane to lift this on to my mill I have no room to work. And returning is not much of an option, cost probably double to return it (due to sheer weight) over what I paid for the whole thing. Seriously look into the 3" or 4" vises.

The cast recesses for hold-down had large areas of razor sharp jagged areas, a serious injury risk. No de-burring was done anywhere, even the chamfers needed de-burring! The whole unit was full of casting / machining grit, cast flashing and required a complete tear-down and degrease / wash out and finishing with a rotary burr. The machined recess for the thrust washer had a large sliver of metal which caused jamming. The fixed jaw had 0.15mm of vertical run-out.

These are ok light duty vises for the price, if you need just one. However, nothing is consistent on them, they do not match as sets. We bought 6 to use as a set. None match. Every one of them will have to be re-machined, the hard jaw thicknesses, vise height, key slots on bottom. Considered sending them back. We will probably have to spend a few hours on each one to make them match. We have been satisfied with the cost/quality on vevor products untill this purchase.

Pissed off customer, would love to know what the vice is like. Order once never recieved, their logistics screwed it up, recieved credit Ordered a second time, still never recieved, no credit or follow up from Vevor So id love to know what the vice is like twice over Id like VEVOR to do something about it Pissed OFF
