Good vice for the money

I'm in the business of selling vises. Bought this one for my garage shop not needing the $500.00 vise. Was very happy when this arrived. Ran it thru it's paces and works great..

Super...a little big for my mini milling machine but I love it. Very sturdy and accurate.

Absolutely, clean it out before using it. The insides of the castings were full of grinding dust, sand, slag, shavings, you name it. You'll want to know how to clean it anyways. For the cost I'm totally fine with some de-burring and cleaning. The total runout of the ways was .0025 and in the most often used area was only .0005 side to side. The screw actually has a thrust bearing and the jaws seem to be pretty square. Repeatability has been totally acceptable for me. The sliding jaw has had a tiny bit of push to the left when clamping, but we're talking very small. I only notice when clamping stacks of tabs to square up the ends. An excellent vise for the cost. Just ignore the weird blue paint job.

Using the 4in vise on a smithy Midas 1220. It fits the slide perfectly from side to side and must be bolted at the cross keyways. I rated the product on it's cost, and it showed up with only a mild cleanup needed. It will surely give years of dependable service.It arrived quite fast, and while packaging was a bit lacking, there was no damage to it. It is a big chunk of metal after all

Good for the price. Nice color not to heavy not to light. OK for Do It Your Self-er. Arrived sooner than expected.

First keep in mind I am using the 4in on a drill press, so cannot verify the accuracy/squareness. It makes a very nice drill press vise though. I was really disappointed to see vee threads on the main screw. It should be acme threads. Also the handle is not plated, but instead painted which I dislike. On mill I use the knob on the end of the handle to tap the drawbar out, and this would chip all the paint off the end. It needs a good deburring when you get it as well. The ground surfaces to cast are not broken, and quite sharp.

For this money it’s worth the buy

Good value good quality. You need to adjust the Jaws to true parallel. Easy to do slacken Allen bolts and set to parallel with milling table

I measure about half a thou out from side to side which is acceptable for my hobby shop. Great value for the price!
