After taking a pottery course for a year, I wanted to get a wheel for home use. So I searched. This is what I found. I tested four almost identical wheels in construction online, all from Amazon. This was not a straightforward purchasing process.This is the best machine of the bunch, and I am delighted with it. I have used it for over a month.1. This is an 11"/ 28 cm Electric Pottery Wheel Machine with a larger surface area to throw. Most are 10"/25 cm. The other surface made a massive difference to me.2. Basin is easy to take apart and put together, and the design differs from the others I struggled with.3. It comes with the foot already attached. The other three, I had to screw them in and balance.4. You get lots of tools for free.5. If you want to save money: they charge you depending on the most popular color. The same machine costs anywhere from $170 to $130. I got a red one and paid $130.

The only negative I would say is it needs a large place to store it. My daughter loves it but I don’t have a place to store it.

I am used to a professional wheel and this one is just as good. It’s not as fast and smaller but I don’t mind that. Splash pan leaks a little but overall I love this wheel!

Overall a decent machine but my splashpan leaks as it does not lock together well. How can I get a replacement pan??

We just received the wheel. Overall initial impressions is it doesn’t seem too bad. Metal has a dent (picture), paint quality is okay, but overall it seems to be a decent bang for the buck. The rubber on the feet could be made better. It seems to have heated up at some point making them fairly sticky and the packaging is stuck to it.I’ll be interested to see how my wife likes it overall when she uses it.

The lack of peddle is the only downside. Great economical wheel!

Smaller than normal, but perfect for what I need them for! I have a client that needs 600 small pieces of small clay bowls and these is just the perfect height and weight for me to use! Speed on this machine is perfect as well! Came in faster than I expected!

There is nothing great about this pottery wheel. There is nothing wrong with it either. It can center several pounds of clay and make bowls and mugs. I had only modest expectations for this wheel and they were met. Would recommend to anyone looking for a starter wheel.Biggest drawback? The wheel does not come with pins for bats. Would be nice, but hardly necessary.
