Used regular hooks but a windy day would blow lights around and would come off the hooks occasionally. These eliminated that risk and worked perfectly. No more loose hanging lights in the backyard.

Technically I haven't used these yet, but they should work perfectly for the purpose they are designed. I will be hanging outdoor string lights on my wooden pergola. I won't be using the anchors, but the hangers can be screwed directly into the wood.
