After figuring out how to make it work with 2x72 belts I have been grinding a lot for the last 2 months. Absolutely worth the money. The speed control is very smooth from 0 to 4400 rpm. Makes it easy to do fine grinding without overheating the knife tip. Still dunk the blade in water every few passes to cool.I added a bracket to the gas strut to allow it to compress further and the belts fit great. I made a bracket to lower the table down further on the platen. The original was way too short. I made a table extension for more room.I like that you can use the extension cable to move the control panel out of the vfd. I mounted mine in an outlet box and can set it by the grinder while keeping the transformer and vfd away from the grinding dust.Very happy with the purchase. Seems to be made to last. We'll see....

I've been using it for pretty much every day for 4 months now, and all has been good. I was hesitant to by a $1200 Chinese tool at first, but I'm glad I did. I'm a knife maker and the variable speed is a must for not burning up your tempered steel. If your a knife maker and are hesitant, bro don't be. It came about 10 days maybe 12 days after I ordered it.

Heavy duty, nicely built, runs quiet, belt tracks great. It came with some great accessories, from the large wheel to the other smaller wheels that work great for shaping knife handles.

Awesome machine making my work enjoyable and excellent

I want to write a review because I was on the fence about buying this grinder. It was so much cheaper than any other similar equipped sanders that I looked at. I have been using this machine for almost two years without a single problem. I'm a knife maker and this machine gets used more than any other tool in my shop. Mine runs and tracks smooth, with almost no wobble. It is almost impossible to get consistent grinds on a machine that does not run smooth. It is a well built great product.

With this being a 82'' belt machine there are not many that offers belts so I cut a few inches off the main 2'' tool shaft. Now I can move the arm in enough to fit a 72'' belt. With all that being said I love this belt grinder! It has the power to do any work I use it for and with the 2 hp motor it takes a lot to over work the motor. This machine does not come with a power switch and it should. I fitted this with using a router control box. This will not allow you to control the speed but you will have a on/off switch. The only thing I wish I had done was spend the extra money and bought the one with speed adjustable. I am very happy with this belt grinder and how well it does the jobs I ask it to do.

Love the belt sander but clamp for the flat plate did fit. Had to buy.m10 x 1.25 bolt. Motor/machine is not grounded. For safety need to ground Easy fixes
