This is my 1st time ever using a honey extractor. I am 2 yrs into beekeeping. This is the rundown of my experience with the VEVOR Manual Honey Extractor. Out of the box, it looked shiny and all parts accounted for. Assembly was easy and already assembled parts had tight screws. The plexiglass covers, however, were not quality cut. They have some cracks and chips but as far as function they worked. I'm not sure what was going on when I put my frames in. They kept hitting the plexiglass covers, no matter how fast or slow I spun them. But all in all, it did the job efficiently. What honey I couldn't scrape out with a spatula, sat in the bottom of the tub and I put it outside for the bees to clean up. I will say that plastic foundations would work best with this extractor. Many of my wax combs was destroyed in the spinning process. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the plexiglass issues.

For whatever reason Amazon shows that I bought the 4-frame extractor when this is the one I actually bought. So if \"verified purchase\" is not indicated, this same review appears on the 4-frame extractor. I’m updating this review after extracting 138 pints in the past year. Still five stars only because I can’t give it 10. My single biggest concern with buying an extractor was how good the machinery is. I’m happy to report that the Vevor extractor machinery is top-quality and very well made. The handle rod is held securely in place, has good bearings, the gears mesh tightly in a leak-proof gearbox, and there’s no play in the spindle that holds the frame cage. The gear ratio is excellent so the frame basket can be spun without having to put a lot of effort into it or wind the handle at a high speed. The basket is heavy duty with good welds. All these factors alone would have convinced me to buy this extractor had I known it ahead of time. I read all the negative comments before I received my extractor and wanted to check those out specifically once mine arrived, and again after it was assembled and put to use. All of them of them are minor issues and quickly fixed. Here are the complaints: Red paint flakes falling into the honey. The gearbox assembly is painted after it’s put together. A small amount of lubricant is still on the spindle attachment on the bottom of the gear box so the paint doesn’t adhere properly, thus flaking and falling off. This is fixed in sixty seconds while the extractor is being assembled by sandpapering, filing, or just scraping the paint chips off with a knife. Black grease where the spindle rests in the bottom of the extractor. Wipe this out completely, the honey itself will provide all the lubrication necessary. Leaking spout. First, when attaching the spout, the large nut inside the drum which holds it in place must be tightened down properly. Secondly, be sure that the bolt opposite the wing nut is tight. Nice quality. Easy assembly. Worked well, honey was easy to transfer out. Highly recommend for smaller apiaries!

Works great just make sure you hold it tight when spinning it fast. Shipped on time and intact. I would recommend this product for someone with a few hives.

This is a well made, cost effective extractor for the backyard/ hobby beekeeper! Easy to use, easy to clean. Takes only minutes to extract from 4 frames at a time. I highly recommend

This is a great little spinner. The gears are ratioed just right. Because it is a 3 frame spinner it does get off balance easily, but with proper care things worked great. I did lift the spinner off the ground to prevent the legs from walking the spinner all over the place. or you can mount it to a large sheet of plywood. Wish the lids actually attached, and wish the honey valve was actually put together correctly. But other than those, it worked just as good as my 8 frame spinner i had for $400.

Great deal. Stainless steel construction. Haven't used it but sure it'll work out fine. Better than many I've seen.

Very easy to use and super lightweight making it easy to carry around. And for what it is, the price is great.

Assembled easily, worked the way it should. The metal is thin and could be bent easily. The mechanical aspects fit correctly and overall it was a good buy. It accomplished the same tasks as a much more expensive one.
