Overall the forge works great, the downside is that it doesn’t come with any rigidizer or refactory cement which adds another 50ish percent to the overall cost.

Worth every penny. Fast shipping. Recommend purchasing rigidizer and refactoring cement for the insulation. The forge has the capability to forge weld if you run both burners @ 22 psi. I run one burner @ 12 psi and 1/2 gas flow and works flawlessly. Would not hesitate to purchase again. Highly recommend especially for the beginner.

I have a coal forge. It has its place. The gas forge also has its place for different projects or different parts in a project.
It does it well.
You can't buy the parts for what this cost.
Do get a least the 2 burner. You don't have to use both.
If you are doing long pieces get the 2 or 3

Excellent quality tools and forge. Arrived quickly just as described. This size forge will serve me well for ferrier work as well as welding rock fabrication.

This forge is easy to set up and use, just a pair of pliers is handy for tightening the hose to the burners. It heats up quickly and runs for hours without issue. The included firebricks fit well and have held up after about 25 hours of use without cracking.
One thing to note is that on the first use, the paint around the bottom of the burners burns off, so it's best to use the forge in a well-ventilated area. While it doesn’t come with refractory cement or extra bricks for forge doors, that’s expected at this price point.
With the right setup, it can reach forge welding temperatures, especially with forge doors to help retain heat.

Easy to adjust. Need a readable pressure gauge to make adjustments more consistent. But if you know what you’re fire is doing then you should be able to adjust your temp

My son uses his forge for making knives and this one works great. It is not too big nor too small for him to use and the heat out put is great because it's hot enough for him to make his knives in and it's got a great quality and it's very easy for anyone to use in my opinion. He has made a lot of knives out of this forge and he continues to make a lot of knives out of this forge so that he can sell them and make money because that is how he makes his money which is selling knives at events. So if you're looking for a great forge to use to make knives with this one is the one he absolutely loves using it and uses it all the time thanks for the great forge that was inexpensive that my son could use to make knives in

Using 1 burner, as stated in the advertising, is a plug needed to block off the orifices?

If there are burners that are not needed, they need to be removed from the furnace, otherwise the heat will be conducted and the hose will be damaged. Customers can choose to block the upper hole with refractory bricks

Am I able to only turn on one/two burners?

Please try to use all the burners. If the customer must use only 1/2 burner, the inoperative burner needs to be removed from the stove and not placed on the stove, otherwise the inoperative burner will conduct heat and damage the hose.

Do you need a rigidtizer for the ceramic wool of any of your guys pre built forges? My father got one to start and im super impressed with the build on it. Im just checkin for him before he going deep into it being im used to a solid fuel forge thank you.

You can buy high temperature cotton curing agent to apply, the use of curing agent can reduce volatilization and extend the service life of high temperature cotton. Buy refractory cement or curing agent that can withstand more than 2700℉ and apply it.
