The unit is nicely made though it could use a few design upgrades such as the lid where the drink mix is added should have slots on the bottom as well as the ends, this would allow the drink mix to be added a bit faster with out it spilling over the side of the machine. The touch pad control should be re- located to the side of the machine because it is susceptible to accidental touch causing a menu change or a shut down and finally it either needs a bigger spigot opening or the paddles on the mixing auger that pushes out the slush should be a bit more aggressive in order to force out the shush when it is thicker. ( a very slow dispense rate). When you get the slush to dispense and add your favorite Booz, it is incredibly good! Careful not to over do it!!

This is a really well designed and built machine that's easy to use and great for entertaining. I would classify this unit as commercial grade for home use. It's not a cheap machine in any way but still represents a good value based on overall quality. I expect to be able to us it for years and years to come! Pros - High quality materials and build quality - Versatile and easy to use with simple interface and many options for modes - Delivers consistent results even from basic inputs... You can get great slush from something as simple as plain apple juice - Easy to clean... Has a cleaning mode but also the parts come off easily and re-assemble easy Cons - Make sure you secure the rear gasket on initial assembly and cleaning. It comes with spare gaskets but this is confusing because it's not clear that these are spare and I assumed they needed to be installed but it wasn't clear where they would go since gaskets were all in place. The initial run I had leaked everywhere but then I placed the rear gasket properly and it works fine. Recommended

This slushie machine outperformed the $400 slushie machine I had. It is heavy but easy to clean and remarkably quiet while running. Took about 40 minutes to slushify room temp fruit juice. default slushy setting was a bit too thick but I followed the instructions and dropped the thickness a bar and that was perfect. At $260 this is an excellent value for a slushie machine, though any slushie machine remains a luxury item.

This is the highlight of my kids month. Put in some Gatorade. Half hour later we had perfect slushy. No need to ever step foot in 711 again (maybe to get some Gatorade though) easy instructions. Cleanups a breeze. This machine is heavy duty and fun to watch it swirl around making the slushie. Now to make beverages for the adults...
