Why is pump sold with 1 1/2 inch check valve provided when intake is 2 inch. Picture shows chec valve being used on output. I have never used a check valve on an output. Its used to maintain prime when pump is shut off
Hello, the pump features a 2-inch intake port, and the supplied 1-1/2 inch check valve is a supporting spare part. As shown in our official picture, this check valve is designed to be mounted on the outlet. Installing it at the outlet can well retain water inside the pipeline, maintain the pump prime state after power off, and prevent dry running, which is the standard installation design for this shallow well jet pump.

HOW DOES AUTO ON/OFF WORK
The water pump stops when the water pressure in the pump and outlet pipeline reaches 50 psi, and starts when the pressure drops below 30 psi.

Does the pump has its own pressure switch built into it automatically so when this it reach right pressure the pump shuts off automatic by itself or do I have to worry that it doesn't and I have to buy a person switch myself install it
This model does not come with a pressure switch; you will need to purchase one separately. Also, the maximum pressure is only 49 PSI, so a pressure switch is required that can disconnect starting at 40 PSI.
