Using a basic sugar mash (1.5 to 2lbs sugar per gallon of distilled water) with distiller's yeast, you'll get about 20% abv. 20% of 128 ozs is about 25ozs total. But, only about 35% of that is decent to drink. So, 35% of 25ozs is about 9 ozs of drinkable hooch per gallon. Using champagne yeast will render a lower value.

Yes, (Its illegal so be careful) You would first distill and keep your hearts and tails and then cut the alc down to 80 proof and re distill, use corn flakes and rye and barley recipe turns out well. I like mine more on rye side but most like the sweetness from the corn. Good luck!!
