Am I correct in understanding that if I want it to operate as a 10amp charger I can simply connect the LC+ to a 12v+ source and it will operate as a 10 amp charger?

What is wrong if the inverter connected to the charger draws DC voltage from the car battery instead of drawing DC-AC from the house battery? The fan on the charger also runs when not in uise.
