What happens if I don't wire up the ign cable? Does it have cut in/cut out voltage? Most DC to DC chargers you can omit connecting this cable if you have a regular alternator which I have, I don't have a smart alternator.

Can I put the 30amp unit in the engine room All the batteries are on both sides of the engine room
