I just purchased the 12v DC motor. I read that all you need is a 12DC power supply and 27Amps to run the motor. Why does it say 12VDC and 81AMPS on the motor? What is the best amperage to run this motor for continuous run? it will be running off a 12-14volt dc alternator producing 50amps.
It is recommended that you only need to ensure that the connected power supply is DC 12v. The current is the current generated by the motor operation and has nothing to do with the connected device.
The DC motor requires an input power supply of 12V DC. If the 110V is AC, you need an AC-to-DC device, switch the input power to DC 12V, and the motor can run.
