I just purchased the 12v DC motor. I read that all you need is a 12DC power supply and 27Amps to run the motor. Why does it say 12VDC and 81AMPS on the motor? What is the best amperage to run this motor for continuous run? it will be running off a 12-14volt dc alternator producing 50amps.

It is recommended that you only need to ensure that the connected power supply is DC 12v. The current is the current generated by the motor operation and has nothing to do with the connected device.

does form factor mean the same a service factor. Trying to see if this motor is continuous duty at 12 volts dc.

can an inverter supply enough power from 110v outlet for this 12V 1HP motor?
