Can this be used on Pex A and Pex B pipe?
How hot does the cable get? Looking to see if it could be used with fiberglass wrap around trunk of fruit trees.
Or used as a heat source at base of tree for a plastic cover over tree, since heat rises it would get trapped in plastic “canopy” keeping the tree from freezing.
Why Cant pipe heating cable be used on hoses ?
Why is there a thermostat on a self-regulating heating cable?
The Thermostat allows the heating cable to completely shut off and draw (effectively) no power until it detects temperatures below 37ºF. Once it turns on, the self-regulating technology directs heat to the cold area(s) of the cable. Stops heating when the pipe temp. is 55ºF.
