How hot does the cable get? Looking to see if it could be used with fiberglass wrap around trunk of fruit trees.
Or used as a heat source at base of tree for a plastic cover over tree, since heat rises it would get trapped in plastic “canopy” keeping the tree from freezing.
The Thermostat allows the heating cable to completely shut off and draw (effectively) no power until it detects temperatures below 37ºF. Once it turns on, the self-regulating technology directs heat to the cold area(s) of the cable. Stops heating when the pipe temp. is 55ºF.
