Yes, and yes .. the drum turns clockwise and counter clockwise by a switch on the motor. It also feeds the the snake / cable in and out by the leaver on the front of the machine. The lever control changes based on the direction on the drum. With the drum In forward, the lever up is out, but if the drum is in reverse then lever up is in.
