I'm looking at a diesel heater with a power consumption of 12v / 3 A. It produces 5kw of heat. I'm trying to find a suitable battery. As I understand V x A = watts Or 12 x 3 = 36 watts per hour. 8 hours of sleep would take 288 watts. Some online suggest a Jakery power bank of about 500w or a goal zero 500 would last one night. I want to use the heater for 4-5 nights..or 1152 - 1440 watts. Units with that much power are over $1000. What battery specs should I be looking at? Deep cycle options?

The starting current is 10a-13a, and it is 3a after normal operation. So a power supply of about 15a is required.

Low oxygen shut down?

Looking into this heater for next winter. Please help suggest my battery specs. I plan to run 48 hrs. 2 or 3 shutdowns in that time. Is a 200 amp lifepo4 suitable or is more power needed. I saw the 10-13amp for start up and 3/hr after. Thats like 175 amp. Just wanting to make sure I have all costs accounted before pulling the trigger.

The starting power supply voltage must meet 12V15A, and the rated current is 40w. If you keep the power supply connected, you can use it all the time as long as there is enough fuel. If you want to use the timer switch function, it is also available.
