Before I order, can the cover be used upside down? There is conflicting answers above. I have left side steps, but your 22x42 cover only comes in right side steps

Your 20 x 40 foot cover measurement diagram shows the entire width of the COVER INCLUDING THE STEP AREA is 22 feet. I'm assuming this is incorrect at the width should be about 22 feed excluding the step area. Please confirm how wide the cover is INCLUDING the step area and that the width is 22 feet excluding the step area.
