There are plastic caps that you anchor to the top rail of your deck, screw the plastic caps to the rail , slid the balusters into the plastic caps and then anchor the bottoms via screws and holes that are already in the balusters to the 2x? of your deck. I also took some MD 3/4 Backer Rod insulation Model Number: 38384 Menards ® SKU: 4366403) and cut into 1" lengths and inserted into the open bottoms to keep pests out.
The stuff is easy to cut and drill as your application needs, and looks great too!

sure. it's just that these are pretty light duty so make your holes big enough that you don't have to beat the snot out of the cap piece. maybe oversize and add a squirt of clear silicone or something.

I am not a 100% positive. But you could order a small amount & see if not you can return & get refund. I think it will work. Hope that helps you know with out seeing it’s hard to be sure.
