This is a very sturdy unit i am pleased with it

I placed mine on a two wheel utility trailer and it's working fine with a load on it.

The jack itself is sturdy,if you have a good mounting point,it will hold up well. I pt it on a car trailer which is probably heavier than your log splitter and it works well.

I have mine attached to a hevey single axel trailer. 60 inches wide and 8 foot long. Measured fr the inside of the rails. Full size tires. Home built with 2 inch angle iron. For support and side rails 2 1/2 inch well pipe for the center support and trailer tongue. That I haul my Bad Boy Maverick HD Zero turn mower on. And it is very stade for me. I don't believe that a log splitter would weigh out more than what I packing.

I actually use this on my splitter works great to move around . however i use it in the horizontal position when i split .Not vertical.

As long as the frame is solid I mounted mine on a car dolly.

Should work fine for splitter. Just secure wheels to keep it stable.

I think it would do very well just attach it and tighten it down really good. You should be fine.

Do not buy, it is A piece of junk. I can lift the trailer tongue by hand and it breaks after 2-3 uses. On the third one

I put it on a snowmobile trailer.. don't know how sturdy it would be on a log splitter
