Does this machine actually keep the storage compartment below 32 degrees when plugged in or does the ice just drop into the bin and melt?
The integrated ice storage bin has an insulated foam layer that helps prevent the ice from melting quickly, but it does not have independent refrigeration. When powered on, the machine stops producing ice when the bin is full. At an ambient temperature of around 25°C, the ice can be kept for about 6 hours. After power is turned off, the ice will melt within a few hours in a high-temperature environment, and the water will drain through the drain hole into the drainage pipe.

What happens to water when ice melts in machine
Thank you for your inquiry. This ice maker features a self-draining system. When ice in the storage bin melts, the water is automatically directed toward the internal drain. Please ensure the unit is connected to a proper floor drain or an external drain pump (if the drain outlet is positioned higher than your drain pipe) to allow the meltwater to exit the machine effectively.
