This unit can be used in a garage, as long as the ambient temperature stays between 50–100.4°F (10–38°C), with good ventilation, no direct sunlight, no moisture, and enough clearance for heat dissipation. You can put the drain line into a water jug to recycle melted water; the machine comes with a drain hose for collection. This is an ice maker. It does not have a “fill-to-full water capacity”; it supports auto water supply (faucet or bottled water). Its ice storage capacity is 30 lbs

By default, the melted ice water is drained through the drain pipe. If you wish to reuse the ice water, you may install a recovery system yourself, but it must not interfere with the machine’s original drainage flow. To switch modes: In standby mode, press and hold the “Clean” button and the “Minus” button simultaneously for 3 seconds; when “66” appears, it indicates tap water mode. Press and hold the “Clean” button and the “Plus” button simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch to “55” (bottled water mode).

If you plan to run it from a generator, make sure the generator can supply at least the ice maker's rated running power and enough capacity for the compressor's startup surge. A stable power source with adequate wattage is recommended for reliable operation.
