This is not a freezer—it is insulated to slow melting, but the ice will gradually melt if it is not used, even while the machine is powered on.

The pump turns on automatically when you power the unit and start ice-making mode—it is not controlled separately.

The machine is drained through its dedicated drain outlet/hose. Turn the unit off, open the drain connection, and allow the water reservoir to empty into a drain or container. The exact drain location is at the rear or bottom of the ice maker.
