They show that it will cut 0.25 mm stainless steel (ss), but I wouldn't try it. I've been using a lot of 18 gauge ss sheet stock with not problem at all. It is a cutting beast! Heavy so it helps to lift it a little while cutting. Clamp your work down and use guides if you can. Cut over a tarp so you can just pick up the corners when through and dump the cuttings in the trash. This may seem like overkill but all of the other nibblers I've tried will stall and just don't do the job like this one does.
