We have a guy put gates end on that hose before and it didn’t leak a drop.. he also looked at that hose and said he didn’t see a thing wrong with it especially for the price he said we did the right thing by buying it

You need to find a better hose shop! I take my hose to the shop and they put the ends on with no issues.1/4" hose costs me $.69/ft. and they sell theirs for $4/ft I love it D

Regarding this hose, if you are a professional to press up the hydraulic connector, you need to wrap off the steel wire to the outer rubber part with a rubber wrapping machine, then put on the sleeve, and then use the locking machine to press it again.
