Regarding the 14710 BTU model: if a relay is used to power it on and off, will it remain in its last mode? So if it was set to heating 104F, and power is shut off, then turned back on, will it continue heating to 104F automatically? I need it to continue the last mode.

Is this safe to be left out in the environment or does it need to be in an enclosure, does it replace the pool pump or does it work in line with the pool pump and sand filter?

It can be used outdoors, but if placed indoors, it should be in a well-ventilated place. It is used in series with a water pump and a sand filter.
