I have a cheaper version with a thinner pad & it works for what I need it for...but I bought three for three of my daughters & bought the thicker pads due to knee fatigue....you'll have to contact the mfg to fond if the pads are replaceable, I'd give the Velor 5 stars.....

It is securely attached for sitting and carrying either folded or open. You may note the 3 screws down each side between the kneeling and sitting pads both of which are quite firm and overhang the bar with the 3 screws. It is not obvious to me that one could remove the pads even after removing those 6 screws nor why one might want to?

I don’t think so. It’s a hefty pad and my kneeler is old now and it’s great!

I don't recall, and was not looking for, warranty information but will say that this is a very sturdy item despite its light weight. I have used it as both a kneeler and a low seat for work both inside and outside and find it very useful.

Sorry, I do not know about warranty timeframes, but I can say I have used mine for 2 years without any issues. It has performed well with moderate use including sloped and uneven surfaces and I am very happy with it.
