Dont fully know what a batch number is. If using the trays instead of tubes do I need a batch size, and if i stop the count to empty a tray and start again will it loose the count?

A batch number is simply a preset quantity of coins at which the machine automatically stops counting. If you're using the trays instead of the coin tubes, you do not need to set a batch size unless you want the machine to stop at a specific count.
