Would there need to be a cold trap to keep the water vapor from entering the pump
Yes, it is needed.

Can this be used to circulate water and to vacuum out air simultaneously? So you can circulate ice water in a condensor, while creating a vacuum with in the system?
If you want to cool down the water, you can put some ice in the water tank.

The product specs sat y it can achieve a maximum vacuum of .098Mpa. Is the .098 Mpa for a single tap pr a double tap? Someone else asked what pressure a single tap achieves as well, but they weren't given a specific answer. It would be very helpful if I knew what pressure a single tap can achieve, as well as what both taps can achieve together. Thank you for your help
The two vacuum heads are separate systems. Under extreme conditions, they can both reach 0.098MPA. However, this is related to the sealing of the vacuum system. The two vacuum heads can be connected in parallel using a tee. The ultimate vacuum degree of the parallel connection is the same, but the vacuum rate is higher.

They are separate systems. If the rotary evaporator is well sealed, both can achieve this.
