How does the wiring work to raise and lower? Does this require a 3 way switch for raise- off- lower?

Can this be used to worked as electronic massage table lift? If so can you suggest the complete kit wyhat o need to purchase. Someone donated an electronic message table that goes up and down everything is well but the control/ motor system fails
