My husband said it doesn’t take oil just grease. The grease goes where the yellow sticker is placed. Just open that up. Hope this helps

The manual is a little confusing when it comes to the lubrication. The confusion comes when it uses the word "oil" interchangeable with the word "grease". The confusion comes when it uses the word "oil" interchangeable with the word "grease". I can tell you there is no slot or sight gauge for oil on this model jackhammer. To add to the confusion there is a big NO OIL symbol on the screw cover where you are supposed to put grease. The hammer comes pre-greased with enough to last 20-30 hours of operation. After approximately 25 hours of use you should unscrew the grease cap and apply 20-30 grams of grease into the grease chamber. Do not put too much as it will have no room to expand when it gets hot and may bog the gear box down. This extra strain will shorten the life of the electric motor.
