It has an overload switch, that I haven't tripped yet (But I check it for heat and haven't run it for more than maybe 5 to 7 minutes). But I wouldn't recommend running it continuously. This is a "Light Duty" unit, used for filling tires, blowing off parts, very light spray work (touch-up spraying with a detail gun), nailing gun, etc. So if you have a tool or a use that requires it to run continuously for more than 5 minutes at a time, I would recommend you find a more industrial unit.

I had to return it was to weak to reach 100 psi I do not recommend that anyone purchase I returned it and purchased a craftsman and it serves me well

No. The pressure valve will; cycle it off when it reaches it's upper limit. You can adjust the limit to a point. It will run continuously if you keep draining the tank of air

Have ours about 5 months and it is operating well and no leaks have been observed.

Performs perfect,no issues at all, I use it on my 4 wheel truck to air up tires,bikes, neighbors cars.

Dear friend, I bought one of those over a year ago. Put it up to a multiple-task and have no issues with an air leakage or other manufacturing defects. Check your coupling adaptor or along your air hoses. Thanks.

Mine has worked good so far no leaks. But has to be plugged straight into receptacle if you put an extension on it it does not work as well.
