Is part of the top cover mesh? and the other side solid? My dog will jump out if the top is open om one dise

Big dogs and dogs with good jumping ability will jump out because the top cover is not only for sun protection but also for preventing dogs from jumping out.

would i be able to use this outside but flipped? using the cavas piece as shade on top instead of the bottom? curious if the door would still function

Yes actually what a great idea .. they have these elastic cordage with balls that wrap around the wire panel and through the grommet on the tarp it would work I’m sure of it .. I’m going to use it like that now thanks smile☺️

Does the cover go over the whole cage? In the photo it looks like it is just a sunscreen for half the cage.

It is just like the picture, the lid cannot cover the whole cage.
