Are the included expansion bolts designed to be installed in drywall? It looks like the spacing is designed to go beside the studs, not into them. Instructions are unclear.

Expansion screws are only used to fix to a solid wall or other location. When wall-mounting, be sure to pay attention to the firmness of the mounting surface.
