This ramp is very very sturdy. It is rated to support 2200 lbs. As it is ~ 42 inches wide, many vehicle wheel bases' are wider than that, making a requirement of 2 to support a vehicle's width. And since it would only be supporting the front (or rear) half of a vehicle, that makes the weight even less. It really should be ok to drive a car over it.

The ramp is really heavy but I don't know about driving a car over it

I only used it as a doorway ramp - do not believe that it can with stand a car being driven over it numerous times.

Yes. This ramp is heavy and tough.

It would take one for each tire to drive on, and each is rated for only 2200#. It would probably work for a small compact to midsized car, but anything bigger would weigh too much. But, why take the chance when you can get curb ramps made specifically for cars and rated at 10k# for less than half the cost of these.

Not sure, and you may need a 2nd one due to the width. I suggest you check with the manufacturer if this info is not on the site specifications section.

I had it outside at my storage shed all summer long here in Oklahoma with 100 degree temperatures. It has held up great!!

Yes. I'm in SoCal and have two of these. One in front in full sun and one in the covered back porch. It's been around two years and both look and perform exactly the same.

Probably since it is made of a high density rubber. It is extremely heavy. I'm not sure what kind of heat your talking about though.

Not sure what is meant by @excessive heat@? It held up out doors in mid to upper 90 degree heat this summer.

It can handle it, but it's rubber. It gets VERY hot in direct sunlight. We're using it with our elderly pets, and we keep another carpeted mat on top of it to absorb some of the heat.

I'm using it as a shed entrance lift and so far, it's quite durable in the heat the mid-west has.

I keep mine outside always and it gets pretty warm where I live in the summer

Yes. The mat is heavy duty and stays in place. I have had NO issues using walker to either go up or down. Well made and has been a life saver for both me and my wife getting in and out off the patio door entrance!!

I don’t know of your abilities, but it is a solid piece; a walker could be scooted along the surface. It is heavy-you might need help getting it set up.

Yes. My husband rides his mobile chair on the ramp. He also uses his walker on the ramp. He weighs 280 pounds. It is very sturdy.

I don't use a walker, but this ramp works great with either my manual or my heavy electric wheelchair. It is very sturdy, so I see no reason why it won't work for a walker. I would recommend it.

The ramp is wider than a door opening which is the length and 24 inches out from the doorway.

It’s 42” wide and 24” long. I am really pleased with it!!!

The longest section (42") is parallel to the threshold. The shorter section (24") is the incline. It's a nice, strong ramp. I used it for an aging pet. The rubber gets very hot in direct sunlight, so I had to put a carpet protector on it.

The top to bottom length is the shorter measurement (24") - where the slant in the ramp occurs. The "width" is the longest measurement (42") which would be placed parallel to your threshold, as seen on the parallel indentations in the mat.

Please just make sure you measure where you are putting the ramp to make sure it’s evenly distributed and this will work great.

Its about the width of the door. The side that extends out from the door is shorter.

This Awesome ramp fills the door frame. It is approx. 42" <- Wide ->, and approx. 24" in length (walking/rolling space). Hope this helps! Can't say enough, this was the best investment made for my disabled husband!!!

As you place it in front of your steps it is 48" wide. The sloped area, leading up to your step is 24". In other words, it will completely span a 36" wide door and give you 24" of gradual height running from where you first step on it to where it meets the edge of the doorway. I replaced a wooden ramp that had a rubber mat on it protecting the wood, and I am quite impressed. It looks much neater and feels more solid as you ride up it. My only concern is what will it be like in the winter for those who don't use a scooter.

I think it’s 56 pounds I really like this ramp. Doesn’t move. Works well with a scooter or rolator or wheelchair.

I’m sorry I don’t remember. The box was just big enough for the threshold to fit in.

We no longer have the packaging, but I remember that the ramp fit into the cardboard box fairly snuggly. The box was heavy duty, thick cardboard & might add 3+ pounds to the weight. I'd guess 60 lbs total.
