Can you connect or screw together an 11 foot and 3 foot iron pipe handrail to make a 14 foot rail?
What size drill bit do I use to make the hole? Installing on plaster/lathe wall.
For this VEVOR pipe stair handrail, use a 6 mm (0.23") drill bit for pilot holes in plaster/lathe walls. Since it comes with M6 expansion screws, a 6 mm bit is the correct size. For plaster/lathe, we also recommend:
Use a stud finder to locate wooden studs for secure mounting.
If no stud is available, use wall anchors suitable for plaster/lathe (M6 size).

I can't seem to align the ends of the pipe connectors to face the same direction. Is there a trick to this?

your pipe is not 1.26 inch diameter but more lile 1 13
I have the shorter version of this rail, so can’t be sure of the dimensions.
