Dear customer, This electric motor can be used as an exhaust fan motor for replacement use. But it cannot be installed vertically, it is only designed for horizontal installation. Vertical installation will affect internal lubrication and damage the motor easily.

It can be used for vertical shaft belt drives, provided the parameters match. 3/4 horsepower (approximately 0.55kW) is a classic "golden low-power" rating, extremely common in various belt-driven equipment. Whether horizontally or vertically (vertical shaft) installed, as long as the mechanical parameters are compatible, it will be perfectly capable.
