I know its 13 inch maximum but I wanted to know if 11x17 inch long paper can be laid on the machine to cut half to make size 8.5x11?

What is the purpose of the switch above the power switch? I can't see that anything changes when I change its position.

This switch is to control the last light of the photoelectric. When the book is relatively thick, it will activate the photoelectric protection. In this case, turn off this photoelectric, and the machine can operate normally.

Can i cut smaller than the 13 max ? Can i make cuts 4 inches wide ?
