I have maple trees that have the whirly jigs. Will these gutters work or will they plug up?
The holes are too small for the whirly gigs to get into. It is possible that a layer of whirly gigs could build up on them though. I think that is possible with all gutter guards and also just gutters. It might be a situation where you have to sweep off the whirly gigs once or twice per year. Maybe a leaf blower would work well for that?

How did these handle rainwater coming off the roof and going into them? I purchased some mesh ones from Lowe's and the water just ran over them and of
I think these would be better than the mesh ones because they sit into the gutter, not just on top of it. That being said, the slope of the roof and the intensity of the rail could overwhelm these too. I don't know that there is a gutter guard that will work in all scenarios but I think these are better than most at catching the rain.
