The lights get very hot (the metal back) after only a few minutes of operation. Is this normal?

It's normal. The aluminum alloy on the back is used to dissipate heat. This proves that the heat can be transferred out.

I received the light yesterday and used it last night and today. The temperature on the back of the light is measuring between 195 and 212 degrees. Is the light supposed to be this hot during normal operation. Seems like a possible fire hazard if it comes in contact with conbustible material.

Dear Customer. The back of the lamp body is at approximately 95 degrees. The components of the 199-degree lamp are already damaged. The lamp will not light up above 120 degrees.

I received my light late yesterday, put it together and started using it. When I went to turn the light off and it was very hot. I went and got my digital heat scanner and it was at 199 to 205 degrees. I checked my other LED light (different brand) and it was 95 degrees. Why is the light getting so hot?
