That won’t work; it doesn’t provide enough suction.
This is designed for ventilation; if you need to transport items, you’ll need a vacuum hose.

I need to put 1000CFM blower on the duct exit side, meaning blower will be creating a low pressure inside the duct. Does duct design allows negative pressure?
It is a very heavy and thick plastic hose compared to the thin ones meant for dryer exhausts so take that into consideration if you need something light.
Its fits my 8" exhaust so it should not fit over anything bigger than that.
I would not take a chance on purchasing if you are intending to use on both.
Unless you can narrow the width of the fan mount on the 8.5", you may be disappointed
