Most hitch adapters used for holding bike racks and cargo platforms reduce the hitch's weight capacity by 50%. To be clear: this adapter--used for towing-- does NOT reduce towing capacity, correct? In other words, if my vehicle has a towing capacity of 4000 pounds, that remains the same with this adapter?
