I see this unit is rated for 220-240v. My supply voltage runs a little hot at 245. Is this out of range for what this unit can handle?
The product is 220 volts, and 245 volts can be used without problems. However, your current inverter can only be used for three-phase asynchronous motors, and cannot be used for any equipment other than three-phase asynchronous motors.

Can I connect this converter to the VFD for variable speed control or does it go directly to the motor only?
Yes u can. We used it on a commercial grade pressure washer

Can't say for sure. Used it to run a 5 HP 3 Phase 220 Volt motor using Single Phase 220 Volts power input to the Converter and 220 Volt 3 Phase output power 120 Volts on each leg

I can use the converter in a refrigeration unit
Yes — you can use it, but only if the refrigeration system is truly designed for 3-phase motors and the converter is correctly sized. if this answer does not resolve the current issue, please contact us again for assistance.

I have installed a 15 HP unit good for 53 Amps. The unit is installed to convert 240-V single-phase to three-phase to run a 15 HP, 3200-RPM, three-phase electric motor @ 3200 RPM. When I start the motor, I get 28 Amps on L1, 28 Amps on L2 and 48 Amps on L3. Why do I get the phase imbalance? How can I get the same amps on each leg?
The reply at 5:08 is as follows: This is normal. The digital phase converter is voltage balanced, but current unbalanced; it is a motor starter operating in elliptic mode.

Will this work with phase loss detection and overcurrent protection on a compressor?
This product does not have phase loss detection and overcurrent protection functions, but only serves as a starter for the motor.
